"Your Inner Compass" ~ Discovery Adventure, is about connecting with the four elements and using them to help find your own inner direction.
This year, Danielle Hughes: Yoga and Wellness will be joining us, bringing along her expertise in both wellness workshops and yoga. You will have a variety of workshops, yoga styles and we are excited to bring our passions to you!
This experience is like no other!
The venue is directly on the water at the mouth of Algonquin Park. Truly breathtaking and completely off the grid, I am sharing with you one of my most favourite getaway places from all of my experiences. Yes there are hot showers and hot water, lights and all of the luxuries from home. That being said….there is no cell reception at all (emergency access if needed)…no hair dryers or curling irons – “au natural” my friends….yes we are venturing into solar panels and allowing ourselves to be UNPLUGGED!!!
Cabins are situated throughout the woods, well-appointed with luxury bedding provided.
What's included?
4 days, 3 nights’ accommodations in cozy cabins, with soft duvets (think Glamping, but with a solid wood door) Main bathroom with hot showers close walking distance.
Incredible Farm to Table exquisite dining prepared by on site wonderful Chef Greg who is serious about making your culinary experience one that you will never forget!
Full Program all weekend - you decide if you'd like to participate or curl up in the many beauty spaces and read.
- Dockside Yoga classes (both Gentle and Restorative)
- Meditation on the dock or in the new studio that overlooks the lake.
- Group Canoe Adventures (kayaking and canoes available throughout the weekend, and an early morning "Moose" canoe trip.

- Workshops
- Campfires…..with of course a couple of surprises.
Northern Edge is about a 4.5 hour drive from Paris, ON taking the 400 series. I take the back roads and it takes about 6 hours. Once you hit the edge of South River - there is no cell service.
Investment: (all inclusive with meals and program)
There are a few different options for accommodations.
Habitat Cabins - there are 2 cabins that fit 3 people. (2 single beds and a top bunk) This is the most economical option. Great for friends or solos that are wanted to bunk with others. They are located right by the water and main lodge. The full bathroom is about 200 feet away.
$1049 plus HST
Canopy Cabins - there are 5 single cabins that have a clear plastic canopy roof, which allows you to sleep under the forest and stars. These are designed for solo travellers (double bed) and are situated among the woods.
$1149 plus HST
There is an option to share the double bed with a friend, and the price becomes $1049 plus HST.
Studio Cabins - there are 4 studio cabins that have a composting bathroom and sink to enjoy and are centrally located. These are for 2 people per cabin.
$1149 plus HST per person
Dreamers Hill Cottage - this is a new, beautiful cottage at the top of the hill. There is a common sitting area and tea station. There are 5 bedrooms in the cottage. All of them can be set up as singles or twins. 3 rooms have their own bathroom with shower, and 2 of them share a bathroom.
$1329 plus HST per person in a shared twin room
$1554 plus HST per person for your own bedroom with a queen bed.
I have personally stayed in all of the options and honestly they are all awesome. The bedding is wonderful and the authenticity of each cabin is incredible.
