Imperial Quiz Society is pleased to announce that we will be hosting the pop culture quizbowl tournament known as X, Formerly Known as TitA (TRASH IN THE ATTIC 2).
The tournament will take place in the Huxley Building and the Blackett Laboratory at Imperial College London's South Kensington campus. The nearest Underground station is Gloucester Road. Paid parking is available on the campus via Exhibition Road.
Please arrive at the Huxley Building main entrance on Queen's Gate at 9:30 AM. The morning briefing will be held in Lecture Theatre 340 in Huxley at 9:45 AM. There will be a lunch break of approximately 45 minutes at around 1-2 PM. We aim for all playoff matches, excluding finals, to be finished by 7 PM.
The field cap for this tournament will initially be set at 18 teams, but with room for expansion if there is sufficient demand and moderator availability. If we must turn away some teams, we will prioritise retaining teams that are otherwise not represented in the field and teams bringing moderators.
The base fee for the tournament is £85, with the following potential discounts:
- Bringing a moderator: £25
- Travelling >200 miles to attend: £10 per team
- Buzzer sets: £5 per operational set
- Short-handed: £35 for teams comprising 1-2 players.
