Workshop: Introduction to the art of flower pressing;
We’ll start with a crash course on pressing technique. I will bring my handmade press made from recycled materials, explain how to build a press, show all the materials needed for pressing flowers, and show how to press a few different varieties of flowers.
Students will learn a few tricks and secrets of successful flower pressing and storing pressed flowers.
This part will take about 20-30 minutes.
Painting with flowers.”
Make your own Botanical collage (8x10”), ready to frame
I will provide all necessary materials (fresh flowers, hand-pressed local flowers, watercolour paper, brush and glue, and a frame 8x10”) and most importantly, gently guide you through creating a piece of art ready to frame.
We’ll talk about composition, how to embrace your creative selves and creating your own unique art.
Let’s share the Love of Flowers and enjoy the community of creative people.
