"When Icicles Hang": Kemsing Singers Christmas Concert

Our Christmas concert this year is on Saturday 13th December at 3pm in the St. Edith Hall Kemsing. We are choosing a wintry theme this year with a programme built around John Rutter’s song cycle ‘When Icicles Hang’. This is a collection of lively settings of Shakespeare and other Tudor poets and featuring guest tenor soloist James Launders. We will have our usual mix of audience carols and choir pieces including sleigh rides trips to Hushabye Mountain and other wintry escapades at this ‘wonderful time of the year’. Yes that’s included too!

 A collection will be taken at the concert for this year's chosen charity Hospice in the Weald. This is in memory of Robin Edmunds founder member and President of the Kemsing Singers who sang with the choir for over sixty years until his recent death. Robin and his family were greatly supported by Hospice in the Weald in his final months.
