"Voices That Inspire"

Voices That Inspire celebrates the diverse voices that have shaped America's musical and cultural heritage. Through the music of women, African Americans, Hispanic Americans, and others whose contributions have too often been overlooked, this program reflects the growing inclusivity of the wind band repertoire and the stories it tells. From historic pioneers to contemporary innovators, these composers and artists have expanded our understanding of what American music can be. Together, tonight's selections honor creativity, perseverance, and the power of music to inspire, unite, and give voice to the experiences of all people.
We will feature Stacy Russell Welker, mezzo-soprano, and Janine Bock, guest conductor on this really amazing program.
