"Under The Red Tent" Opening @ CAMP

Red Thread Art Studio Miami presents Under The Red Tent, an immersive fiber exhibition opening at The CAMP Gallery Sunday March 8th, and on view at our through Sunday, April 26th
Inspired by the novel The Red Tent by Anita Diamant, the collective of over twenty women textile artists recreated the red tent as a physical sanctuary for feminine community, strength, and generational wisdom. Join us in celebrating the opening of Under The Red Tent with a special brunch on International Women’s Day, Sunday, March 8th from 12-3pm . We will be serving catering by Rodilla and special drinks by The Sipistry.

Founded by fiber artist Aurora Molina, the Red Thread Art Studio Miami functions as both production space and cultural hub, rooted in Miami's rich landscape while maintaining a global outlook, advancing textile-based practices as vital forms of contemporary artistic expression and civic dialogue.

Participating artists: Aida Tejada, Angela Bolaños, Anna Biondo, Aurora Molina, Bella Cardim, Cynthia Passavanti, Debora Rosental, Eva Llarena, Fernanda Froes, Flavia Fortuna, Flor Godward, Juliana Torres, Katia Bandeira de Mello, Marine Fonteyne, Mila Hajjar, Mirele Volkart, Paola Mondolfi, Robertha Blatt, Sarah Laing and Susanne Schirato.

Info: Visitors write a word, memory, or intention onto fabric strips and tie them into the installation. The gesture transforms personal narrative into collective tapestry.

Info: A hands-on workshop exploring the symbolism of wool, softness, and inherited memory. Participants create small fiber forms connected by red thread, reflecting on maternal bonds and generational continuity.

Info: An intergenerational weaving session inside the Red Tent. Participants are invited to sit, stitch, and contribute a red thread to a growing communal textile. The activation reflects on ancestral labor, women’s circles, and textile as shared language.
