Logline
In Kingston, Jamaica, class and status often threaten to define one's dreams. As Danielle and Malcolm chart their journey towards independence, they encounter a fight against a system bigger than them. Can Love survive?
Starring Reggae singer Sevana in her debut as lead, Shomari Downer and Jamaican comedy legend Owen 'Blakka' Ellis and an All Jamaican cast & crew, This film is a tribute to soul of a people and the threads that connect us all.
Join us for an exclusive screening of Threads of Us, a Jamaican Love story set against the backdrop of Jamaica's Independence day celebrations, following the journey of two working class young people navigating love, work and survival. A narrative feature length film, written and produced by Donisha Prendergast and directed by Mykal Cushnie of DSE Jamaica in collaboration with Kae Media & Tuff Gong Pictures.
