Written and produced by Donisha Prendergast and directed by Mykal Cushnie of DSE Jamaica in collaboration with Kae Mediae & Tuff Gong Pictures, Threads of Us was filmed entirely in Jamaica with an all Jamaican cast & crew including 15 paid interns who benefitted from direct mentorship with professionals on set.
Logline
In Kingston, Jamaica, class and status often threaten to define one's dreams. As Danielle and Malcolm chart thei journey towards independence, they encounter a fight against a system bigger than them. Can Love survive?
Themes include love, survival, identity, independence and the realities of working-class life.
