About this Event
About the Event
On the afternoon of Sunday, April 6th, 2025, the Presidio Historical Association (PHA) will present Then, Now, and Forever. A gathering in the historic Presidio Chapel featuring jazz-blues-folk musicians Juniper Djinn, performing rousing and nostalgic selections from their extensive playlist. The PHA is thrilled to have the generous support of the Interfaith Center at the Presidio and PHA members, donors, and sponsors for this event.
The Presidio Historical Association has been, over its many years, guardians of the Presidio's stories and structures and worked in support of the National Park Service, the Presidio Trust, and the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy in these efforts. But at no time has that mission been as critical in the Presidio's existence, and we felt there was no better time to rally support for the park and bring awareness to our organization by presenting this free-to-the-public gathering—of song and solidarity.
Please join us in keeping and sharing the Presidio’s complex and compelling stories alive and help keep the work of the PHA vital for present and future generations.
Seating is free but limited—reservations are required.
A small reception will follow. Limited paid parking is available.

About Juniper Djinn
Acclaimed vocalists and musicians Jessica Fleet and Bill Stoller, joined by skilled instrumentalist May Edington, make up a group of players who are almost as undefinable musically as they are masters at blending musical genres. From blues to bluegrass, Balkan folk music to folksy American standards, and European jazz to stateside jive, they combine it to a significant, soothing, and nostalgic effect. Called a sound that's a "force of nature" and a "bright balm," Juniper Djinn's popular live performances are a transformative experience of the tranquil to the toe-tapping—a paradoxical combination perfect for this concerning and contemplative moment.

About the Presidio Historical Association (PHA)
For nearly seven decades, the Presidio Historical Association (PHA) has helped keep the stories of the Presidio's people and places alive and well, making it a historical centerpiece of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. However, maintaining the Presidio's historical integrity, from Indigenous beginnings to military endings to the present-day park setting, is a never-ending task of perseverance—much in demand and often short on supply. But through sheer fortitude, the PHA has been here—supporting and encouraging the sharing of the park's long and fascinating history. Its mission continues as its activity evolves, essential to preserving and interpreting the Presidio's history then, now, and forever.
