About the Presenters:
Tannis Bator is a retired teacher/librarian from Greeley-Evans School District 6 who still believes reading aloud, storytelling, and library visits should be part of the school curriculum to encourage joyful literacy and lifelong learning. She mentors Young Chautauquans as they research and craft their historical characters. Tannis is involved in community theater and has done living history presentations of Rattlesnake Kate and Emily Griffith.
Augusta “Gus” Rudnick is a young public history professional. She studied at Colorado State University before starting at Centennial Village. She was recently recognized by the National Council of Public History’s New Professional Award in April of 2024. Currently, she works as the Assistant Curator of Interpretation at the City of Greeley Museums and is passionate about historical crafting. Gus enjoys spending time in the 1920s Print Shop and working with the 1860s Stagecoach at Centennial Village Museum.
