"The Color Purple" has always been a story of survival, love, and transformation. Now, it speaks—and signs—to ALL of us.
Let's make history!
About this Event

Overview: A Historic Theatrical Experience

For the first time ever, The Color Purple will be performed as a fully bilingual masterpiece—where American Sign Language (ASL) and spoken English exist in perfect harmony. This groundbreaking production ensures that both languages are equally powerful, equally present, and unapologetically bold.

Crafted with deep intention, ASL is not an afterthought—it’s the heartbeat. Spoken English is not dominant—it’s a partner. Every song, every word, and every movement has been designed to resonate with Deaf and hearing audiences alike, creating an experience where accessibility is not an accommodation but an integral part of the artistry.

You will not miss a moment.
You will not miss a word.
You will not miss the magic.

This is more than a show—it’s a cultural landmark. A tribute to Black resilience, Deaf excellence, and the beauty of language in all its forms. It shatters barriers, redefines inclusive theatre, and invites you to witness history in the making.

Don’t just watch it. Be a part of it.
