"Sullivan's Message - Speaking for Change" Parent Education Event

Join us on Wednesday, February 19th, in the Peshtigo Elementary Learning Center Cafeteria to hear from "Sullivan's Message" speakers Kathi and Chris Sullivan, as they deliver an educational event to parents and adults in the community geared towards substance use , mental health awareness, and underage drinking prevention.

Kathi’s portion of the presentation (“Taylor’s Message”) speaks about her daughter, Taylor, whose life ended early in her senior year because of many poor choices from underage drinking one fateful weekend. Kathi brings awareness to youth alcohol and binge drinking statistics, choices and consequences, and parenting and social host liability.

Kathi’s husband, Chris Sullivan (“Not in the Playbook”) segment focuses on his road to playing in the NFL, and the downfall of his career due to his addiction to drugs and alcohol. Chris speaks about many life skills that will help students think about making good choices surrounding alcohol, drugs, anxiety, depression, and mental health, and how he overcame some of those struggles with mental health and substance use to be the person he is today. Chris always says, "My sobriety chip means more to me than my Super Bowl ring. Both were hard to get."

There will be light meal served prior to the presentation at 6:00 p.m. and giveaway drawings for those in attendance. Prize giveaways will include gift cards, Lululemon belt bags, Smart TVs, a hunting Trail Camera and more! Child care will also be provided.
