"Strings Unleashed" breaks out with the Renaissance-inspired "Capriol Suite" by Peter Warlock, followed by the haunting Adagio from "Two Pieces for String Octet" by Shostakovich. The three movements from Carl Reinecke's "Serenade for Strings," the scintillating waltz "First Novelletten" by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, and the fiddling and Western swing notes of "String Circle" by Kenji Bunch round out the program.
