Dr. Jason Lopez is an assistant professor in the Department of Communication Arts at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His research focuses on sports, sports media, athlete activism, and sports gaming (such as sports betting and fantasy sports). His book, Redefining Sports Media, focuses on sports as an entertainment transmedia genre.
