Join us for a two night tour of the South Coast to explore the early history of Encounter Bay, Victor Harbor, and Goolwa. This area is closely tied to the Congregationalist Reverend Ridgway Newland and his group of parishioners, who settled there in 1839 on the advice of Governor Gawler. The Newland family holds special significance for the Pioneers Association, particularly through Sir Henry Newland, the grandson of Rev.Newland, who served as our first President.
