Join the Women's Choral Society/WCS for a lyrical concert to brighten a Winter afternoon.

(Please note that tickets are $2 more if purchased at the door.)
The WCS concert will focus on the work of women composers - with the major piece being Sarah Quartel's piece, "She Sang the Stars", which views the stages of womanhood through the Kalevala, a Finnish epic. We also look forward to sharing: "Ave Generosa" by Hildegard of Bingen (one of the first identified female composers); "And Still I Rise" by Rosephanye Powell; "Will the Circle Be Unbroken," arranged by Cathy Winter/Betsy Rose/Marcia Taylor, "Music, Lead the Way!" by Laura Farnell, and "Measure Me, Sky!" by Elaine Hagenberg.
As a souvenir and encore for those who participated in and attended the Oregon Bach Festival's Community Sing with Composer/OBF Artist-In-Residence, Eric Whitacre, we will also be performing his choral composition, "Sing Gently".
