As we gather for HBCU Legacy Week, we are proud to host the Rich Aunties & Rosé Brunch on July 26th, coinciding perfectly with National Auntie’s Day.
This celebration is a dedicated moment to honor the women who serve as the heartbeat of our families and our communities.
The Pillar of the Black Family
In the Black family dynamic, the "Auntie" is much more than a biological relative; she is a foundational pillar. Historically and culturally, Aunties have served as the bridge between generations, offering a unique blend of guidance, protection, and unconditional love.
The Trusted Confidante: She is the one you go to with secrets you aren't quite ready to tell your parents, providing a safe harbor of wisdom without judgment.
The Community Gatekeeper: In our communities, the Auntie role extends to those "other mothers" who keep a watchful eye on the neighborhood, ensuring that traditions are passed down and that excellence is always maintained.
The Symbol of Success: The "Rich Auntie" aesthetic is a celebration of more than just material success; it represents a woman who is spiritually, emotionally, and professionally "rich", one who has worked hard to curate a life of joy and is now pouring that abundance back into her village.
Why We Celebrate
National Auntie’s Day is our opportunity to show these incredible women that their roles are deeply valued. Their influence has shaped our lives, mentored our careers, and fortified our spirits.
On Sunday, July 26, we invite you to put on your finest brunch attire, get ready to raise a glass of chilled rosé, and join us in a heartfelt toast to the incredible women who have shaped our past and continue to inspire our future.
Cheers to the Aunties, the wisdom, the love, and the ultimate legacy.
Join us as we raise a glass of Rosé to the wisdom, love, and legacy of our Aunties. Get your best brunch attire ready, this will be a day of restoration and celebration you won't forget!
