"Revolutionary Wake History" at Yates Mill
About this Event
Presenters Becky McGee-Lankford and Flannery Fitch from the State Archives join Wake County Historical Society President Saundra Cropps to share stories of Wake County soldiers and supplies and how those contributed to the war effort 250 years ago. Did you know that Yates Mill’s first owner Samuel Pearson helped supply grain to Patriot forces?
Saundra Cropps will be speaking about her ancestor, the Patriot Jesse Harris.
Imagine this history through the mill’s sights and sounds before or after the presentation as part of Yates Mill’s Open House, 1-4 p.m.
About Tickets: As part of Wake County Historical Society's America 250 commemoration, there will not be a registration fee for this special program. Space is limited, however, so please register to reserve your spot.
