An optional Tour of the house is offered at the end of the performance by John Hughes

Robert Owen is our virtuoso pianist who is well known to local audiences, he is a talented young pianist known for his skillful interpretations of ragtime classics. With his virtuosity and passion for the genre, Owen brings Joplin's music to life, captivating the audience with his performances. He is completing his master's degree in Music Composition at present.

The Piano: A Steinway Model M has all of the characteristics for which Steinway pianos are renowned - volume, richness, clarity of tone, and action with technical perfection and resilience.

Afternoon Tea Delights: guests are treated to a delectable afternoon tea. Traditional tea sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam, and a variety of teas are served, adding an element of indulgence and sophistication to the event."Ragtime Rhythms and Afternoon Tea Delights:

Scott Joplin was an influential African American composer and pianist who popularised ragtime music in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Ragtime is characterized by its syncopated rhythms and lively melodies, and Joplin's compositions, such as "The Entertainer" and "Maple Leaf Rag," are among the genre's most well-known pieces.
