David Auburn's Pulitzer and Tony-winning production is a poignant and surprisingly funny look at what we’re willing to sacrifice for those we love – and what we’re not.Catherine put her life on hold to live with her father, Robert, a once world-renowned mathematician, and care for him all alone during his mental decline. After his death, she grapples with more than grief as Hal, her father’s former student, combs through Robert's journals for something of value, while wondering if his own best days are already behind him, and Catherine’s sister, Claire, is home for the funeral and to help - in her own way - Catherine plan her next steps.
