Pollinators are disappearing at an alarming rate, despite being necessary to produce many of the crops we rely on. This talk will explore the role that pesticides play in pollinator declines, as well as what stakeholders can do to minimize the impacts.
Nicole received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and her Master’s and PhD from Arizona State University. She is currently completing a postdoctoral fellowship in the lab of James Crall at UW-Madison. She is interested in the physiology, ecology, and behavior of pollinators. Her research has focused on the effects of fungicides on honey bee behavior, as well as how pollinators of spring-blooming fruit crops navigate extreme weather.
