"Parable of the Sower" Plant Walk

Join us for the "Parable of the Sower" Plant Walk!This event will take place at the University of Redlands SURF Garden, where we will explore the beauty and significance of various plants as they relate to Lauren's journey north in the Parable of the Sower. Lauren depended on the plants of the region to keep her tribe healthy and moving forward. What plants are available in Southern California and the corridor northward? How would you survive the journey?

Octavia Butler, the author of Parable of the Sower, lived in Altadena, much of which has been destroyed by the current fires. The University of Redlands is making funds available to students impacted by the Palisades and Eaton Fires through our emergency relief fund; donations will be welcome.
