The Open Page project is a barrier-free community wellness initiative designed to offer a save space for movement and self-reflection.
About this Event

The main goal is to utilize the simplest tools available—a pen, paper and a shared room—to help participating members process emotions, reduce stress and build social connection through mindfulness-based writing and movement. In the circle writing will be used as a self-care tool along with the body. Each session blends gentle physical flow with reflective writing to quiet the mind, release tension, and cultivate deep self-awareness. Requirement: Participating requires no prior writing experience and is intentionally designed to welcome anyone needing a soft place to land. The 3-week sessions are designed to move participants from external sensory awareness to deeper internal reflection.
10/14 Week 1: Grounding & Clearing the Mind
Focus – Shifting attention away from anxiety into the physical present while releasing immediate mental clutter.
10/21 Week 2: Radical Self-Expression
Focus – Meeting the inner critic with gentleness and understanding and rewriting narratives of personal judgement
10/28 Week 3: Anchoring Joy & Intentionality
Focus – Documenting small moments of peace or joy to build future emotional reliance and intentional presence for the future.
We practice emotional safety protocol:
