(2023, 93 min) explores the little-known history and humanity of Filipino and Filipino American nurses who have long been the backbone of the U.S. healthcare system.

Through personal stories and historical context, the film traces the colonial ties between the Philippines and the United States that shaped this workforce—and examines why Filipino nurses were disproportionately impacted during the COVID-19 pandemic while facing a rise in anti-Asian hate.

Blending intimate storytelling with urgent social history, the documentary brings visibility to an essential yet often overlooked community on the frontlines of care.

A panel conversation and audience Q&A will follow the screening.
