Ticket Cost: $10 Per person
All Ticket Proceeds will be donated to the Indianapolis Public Library Foundation - Cultural & Community Fund (thank you!)

- Participation in "Mystery Date Book Swap" (Must bring at least 1 book, Max 5)

- DIY Friendship Bracelet Bar (One make-your-own bracelet included)
- DIY Bookish Bingo Card Station (One blank card included)
- Access to local Vendor pop-ups, drinks & snacks, fun photo backdrop, and more!

-You'll be able to purchase more event buttons, bracelet making or bookish bingo cards at the event if you wish!
-Vendors will be accessible to non-attendees.

Details:
- Bring a fave Romance book from your collection (or buy one from a local bookstore if you cant bear to pull from your own bookshelf) to bring in for a mystery/blind date book swap at Salt and Ash Market! From sweet to smutty, we love it all!

- Wrap up your book (supplies on hand if you need them), fill out one of our "check-out" cards with key details of the book - then mingle & check out your potential book dates! Once everyone is settled and books are good to go - you'll be free to choose the book(s) you wanna take home! - Swap is one-for-one. So - bring 1 book, take 1 book. Bring 3, take 3! You get the idea!"

More:
-Books should be wrapped to cover up the title/cover so we can have a little "blind date" mystery! We will have paper on hand if you cannot wrap yours before you arrive. Please let us know at check-in if you need to do this! You can also drop off books ahead of the event and we will wrap them for you!
-Attendees will also be given a "library" check-out card to fill out with some basic details of the book to help swappers choose! Items include: Genre, Release Year, Spice: Open Door or Closed Door, Tropes, and Other Notes (like any big TW). Feel free to add any more info or decorate the wrapping! But I think these are a good baseline!

Event Guidelines:

- 18+ (adult themes)

- New, or good/like new condition ROMANCE book. If it's an adult ______ Romance book - it counts!

- Please: No Young Adult books (this time) - Please also try to avoid BIG authors like Yarros, SJM, Emily Henry, Colleen Hoover - most folks likely already like and own these and we want to keep it fresh!

- If purchasing a book for the event, please consider supporting a local bookstore in the area! or Bookshop.org online.
Nearby stores are: Tomorrow Books, Whispering Shelf, Indy Reads, and Dream Palace Books!

- Curious if a book fits the theme? Reach out and we can help!

- Be open and respectful when reacting to books provided / chosen! Books cannot be swapped out due to discrimination, etc We are a LGBTQIA+ friendly space! No refunds or take-backs.

- BYOB. Non-alcoholic bevs will be available. 8th Day Distillery & CenterPoint Brewery are within walking distance and will be open before / during / after our event!

-Books not wanted / left behind will be donated, or saved for a storefront future Little Free Library

-A survey will be sent out to attendees a few days after the swap to get feedback to help us plan future bookish events!
