Can you capture the essence of a person? A painted face, a poem about someone's hands, a sculpture of a silhouette, a photograph of someone's workspace — all of it.
Mutual Subjects is a paired portrait show where every creator is both the artist and the subject. You'll be matched with another accepted creator, and the two of you will portray each other. What "portrait" means is wide open. Paint, poetry, sculpture, photography, sound, fiber, whatever your medium is — if it captures a person, it belongs here. We welcome creators of all kinds.
The show is a continuation of Trading Faces, the first show Moth and Todd E Clark curated together and the start of their friendship. Making a new friend isn't a requirement, but we hope it becomes part of your experience too.
