"Leaning Into Summer" Poetry & Pizza Event

Dear friends in the Bloomington-Normal, IL area, I'd be honored if you'd join me Sun July 19 when I will read from my new poetry collection "How to Be a Contemplative" in the meeting space of the Mennonite Church of Normal, 805 S. Cottage Street. I'll be joined by the exceptional Chicago poet Al DeGenova, editor of the literary journal "After Hours," who will read some of his delightful poems. Special guest former Blm-Normal broadcaster Steve Vogel will also read a selection from his recent memoir, "Broadcast Live," and flutist Mary Beth Godfrey will provide some musical interludes. Theme of the program is "Leaning Into Summer." It will last about an hour, then we'll enjoy each other's company and Avanti's pizza. Program is free and open to all, so feel free to spread the word.
