BLISTER SISTERS MOVIE MATINEE FUNDRAISER -Sunday 5 October 1pm Reading Cinema Belmont.Our team the Blister Sisters have registered in the "2026 Newtown Toyota Walk for Women's Cancer Perkins" benefitting the Harry Perkins Institute for Medical Research into Cancers. We will be walking 35 kilometres over the week ending Saturday 2 May 2026. We are all as committed as ever to raise as much money as we can so that the Researchers at the Perkins Institute can endeavor to make cancer less lethal.
We would love you to get your family and friends together for our first fundraiser. It is the movie "Kangaroo". This is a Matinee screening on Sunday 5 October at Reading Cinema Belmont at 1.00pm. Tickets are $30 per person including 3 raffle tickets.
Kangaroo is a 2025 Australian family comedy film directed by Kate Woods and inspired by Chris 'Brolga' Barns, the founder of The Kangaroo Sanctuary, the film follows Chris who after being stranded, teams up with a young girl to help rehabilitate young injured joeys. When Chris Masterman becomes stranded on his way to Broome, Western Australia, he teams up with a young girl named Charlie, forming an unlikely friendship. The two come together to take care of young injured kangaroos. It should be a great family movie. It is also the school holidays. I will attach the you tube link to check it out.
