“Inside Gaza” is an award-winning documentary produced by the Agence France-Presse (AFP) in partnership with Reporters Without Borders (RSF) that tells the story of AFP’s local journalists trapped in the Gaza Strip during the war, while international journalists were prevented by Israeli authorities from independently accessing the territory.
For almost seven months, these journalists continued documenting the conflict under extraordinary conditions, constantly torn between their mission to inform the world, the struggle for survival and the fear of becoming a target.
The screening will be the Taiwan premiere. It will highlight the essential role of local journalists in conflict zones, the risks they face, and the importance of protecting journalists and combating impunity for crimes committed against them.
The event will be organised in connection with the International Day to End Impunity for Crimes against Journalists, observed on 2 November.
