"Insert Coin" Film Screening and Panel Discussion

“Insert Coin: Inside Midway’s Arcade Revolution” is currently on view at the Cleve Carney Museum of Art. Inspired by the award-winning gaming documentary "Insert Coin" (2020) the CMMA will screen the film followed by a panel discussion moderated by filmmaker and Director of Innovation at DePaul University Joshua Tsui.

The Insert Coin film tells the amazing behind-the-scenes story of the making of "Mortal Kombat" "NBA Jam" and many other videogame hits. Through intimate and often hilarious interviews the film shows how a small tight-knit group of friends deal with controversies next level success and the roller coaster ride that comes with it. The film runs 1 hour 41 minutes. Following the screening Tsui will lead a panel discussion featuring designers whose work is currently featured in the CCMA exhibition.
