Looking for a fun, family-friendly adventure?
Join Cub Scout Pack 401 for a special "Howl at the Moon" Hike and experience Cub Scouting firsthand!
We're inviting all local families with kids in grades K-5 to join us for a moderate hike at Briones Regional Park. We'll hike up to a ridge just in time to watch the stunning full moon rise, and of course, we'll give it our best howl! After taking in the view, we'll hike back down to our cars. This is a great chance to see what Cub Scouting is all about and learn how your family can join our Pack.
Important Details
Who: Families with kids in Kindergarten through 5th grade, accompanied by a parent or guardian (siblings welcome).
What to Bring: Please bring a flashlight, water, a light snack, and wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes. Dress in layers to be prepared for the weather.
Time & Location: We will meet in the parking lot of Christ the King Church/School in Pleasant Hill at 5:15 pm. From there, we will caravan to the Old Briones Road Staging Area at 1289 Briones Rd, Martinez, CA 94553. The hike is expected to be complete before 8:00 p.m.
Hike Length: The round-trip hike will be between 2 and 3.75 miles, depending on the group's pace.
This is a fantastic way to enjoy nature, make new friends, and see the adventure that awaits in Cub Scouts. We can't wait to see you there!
