Join us as we celebrate another year of independent action filmmakers from December 4th and 5th at the famous Brenden Theatre in Las Vegas at the Palms Casino and Resort!
GainesCon Film Festival is a certified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to showcasing, educating, and producing the work of aspiring filmmakers and fellow creatives within UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES & BEYOND, whose content lies within the realm of ACTION, SCI-FI, FANTASY, and HORROR.
A crucial component of our cause is the strong emphasis on the cultural representation of various ethnic and underrepresented groups within these genres.
This two-day event will be shown IN-PERSON & VIRTUAL simultaneously.
Our event will include:
- Watch an array of incredible indie Sci-Fi, Action, Fantasy, and Horror short movies from around the world.
- Enjoy one free popcorn and one free drink with the purchase of a 2-Day Pass.
- A Special Feature Presentation from one of Hollywood's well-known action directors, Scott Windhauser. Experience his new theatrical horror film, "You Can't Leave".
- Join in the panel with Chris Reis, the owner of Las Vegas's new film production studio, OPTIK STUDIOS.
- Watch the premiere of one of Las Vegas's local horror short films, "The Vampire Ven, A Gifted Blood".
- Enjoy music from the husband and wife Hip Hop and R&B duo "Affliction".
- Get a personal interview with today's rising YouTube influencer, Don Terrell.
Having all this amazing content under one event won’t be fitting unless there is a way to award those with exceptional material. So we have created "THE DRAGON AWARDS" on the last day of the festival! This beautiful trophy was designed by an amazing illustrator, David Jennings from Ireland, with each hand-painted by our renowned makeup artist, Mrs. Faith Rios, which makes each Dragon unique. It represents FORTITUDE, VISION, and the INTERNAL FLAME needed to complete any project.
So, hang out with us and join your fellow action-movie enthusiast as we all continue to support our indie action, sci-fi, fantasy, and horror creator.
