A Black History Month Open Mic Celebrating Black Voices, Creativity & Community

For The Culture is more than an open mic—it’s a celebration of Black expression, storytelling, and collective joy. Join us at Simply Sonya’s for a soulful evening rooted in culture, creativity, and connection.

This experience is designed to spotlight Black-owned businesses and elevate artists across spoken word, music, and performance—all while creating space for community to gather, vibe, and be seen.

Expect an elevated blend of:
🎤 Open mic performances featuring spoken word, singers, rappers & creatives
🎶 Live band + DJ setting the tone all night
🛍️ Black-owned business vendors
🍽️ Delicious food menu + full bar
✨ Smooth vibes, great energy & intentional community
