About this Event
The Embassy of Italy in Canada invites you to the opera recital “Figaro!" A night dedicated to Rossini's "Belcanto": an unforgettable evening filled with stunning performances of Gioachino Rossini’s most celebrated arias, by talented Italian artists (mezzosoprano Marta Pluda, baritone Giuseppe De Luca and pianist Alessandro Uva) from the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro, one of Italy’s top opera festivals.
The concert celebrates the designation of Gioachino Rossini’s hometown Pesaro as 2024 Italian Capital of Culture, as well as the inclusion of “The Art of the Italian Opera Singing” in the UNESCO list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
The event will take place on Tuesday, November 19 th, at 5:30 pm, at Carleton Dominion-Chalmers Centre. Please use the entrance located at 290 Lisgar Street, Ottawa.
Doors open at 5:00 pm.
