About this Event

"DAM" is a one hour play with water. Using samples from a local body of water and several implements designed to contain it, the artist attempts to control the water and themselves — and ends up getting wet. Exploring a climate emergency, a crisis of identity, and unique juggling technique, "DAM" expresses a need for fluidity in a rapidly drying world.

David Chervony is a circus creator and performer currently based in New Orleans. Regarded as an “unexpected showstopper,” their works are built on sincerity and surprise. David is a founding member of Company To X For and has presented several full-length shows nationally. Credits include the Vampire Circus, Midnight Circus, the Hupstate Circus Festival, the Circus Hub at the Edinburgh Fringe, and the Nowhere Nowhere Show in Berlin.
