Grandview Gallery is thrilled to announce a Call For Art (originals or reproductions) for our 25th anniversary event! This call is open to any artist that exhibited with us in the past, and any artist who is new to our gallery. We are limiting every artist to 1 piece per person due to the nature of this large group show. This group show will display alongside the Robert H. Chappel Collection, our permanent rotating collection. This year is its 5th anniversary. Please consider donating the piece, or a different one, to the collection after this exhibition ends. Visit here to learn more about the collection —> https://grandviewgallery.weebly.com/roberthchappelcollection.html
Note - If you are Wilson School District faculty/staff or a Wilson alumni, then please consider also submitting to those specific exhibits later in the school year as well.
We welcome ALL artistic disciplines! Including but not limited to painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, design, computer-generated art (no generative AI art), jewelry, sewing/knitting/quilting, video, clothing, CAD drawings, etc.
Please send ALL relevant information and an image to Gallery Director Joe Palumbo at [email protected].
- First and last name
- Title of artwork
- Medium
- Dimensions
- Year the artwork was created
- If Wilson alumni: What year did you graduate
- If Wilson School District Faculty/Staff (current or former): What do you do and/or teach, what grades, what building, how long if retired?
- If the artwork was client based, who was it for? What was it used in/on?
- If you’re an in-house artist, who do you work for (if allowed)? Or your personal website, or any social media you’d like advertised (please include your usernames for each social media)
Important Dates:
- 9/20/26: Deadline to drop off artwork
- 10/10/26, 1-4 pm: 25th Anniversary Celebration opening reception
Important Information:
- Selling the piece is not required, only displaying is welcomed. The artist will retain 70% of sales with Grandview Gallery retaining a 30% commission should something sell.
- A signed Loan Agreement is required.
- Grandview Gallery does not exhibit generative AI art.
- Art drop off: Please drop off artwork at Wilson School Districts NEW Administration building. Located at 2620 Westview Dr., Wyomissing, PA 19610. Drop off is available Monday-Friday from 12-4 pm. Other arrangements can be coordinated with Gallery Director Joe Palumbo if you cannot drop off at the Administration building during those times. ***Grandview Gallery DID NOT relocate to the new Administration building. We are still located at Wilson High School in the same multi-use space. The Administration building relocated to bring students into the "original" building again for classrooms. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DROP OFF ARTWORK AT WILSON HIGH SCHOOL UNANNOUNCED, ESPECIALLY DURING SCHOOL HOURS.***
- If shipping, the artist is responsible for the cost of shipping artwork to Grandview Gallery. Let Joe Palumbo know if you are shipping and an address will be provided for you.
- Since we are in a school district the artwork can not contain nudity (tastefully covered partial nudity could be accepted), extreme violence (some violence is ok like the superhero genre), or anti-race, gender, politics, etc. Grandview Gallery/Wilson School District will review each piece to ensure it is within our standards.
- Please provide a good picture/scan of the artwork for review and to be used for promotion of the exhibition. Make sure it’s clear, focused, well lit, etc. The picture/scan may include the frame if you’d like.
- Please label your art file as the following example so I know who they belong to… LastnameFirstname_Title.jpg. JPEGs, TIFFs, PDFs, are acceptable file types.
- If the piece you created is an object someone uses/wears, like jewelry, clothing, a knitted blanket, etc., you may provide an optional second photo for display. Please ensure the secondary picture is displayable in some fashion, no loose photos. See below for framing. Grandview Gallery accepts no responsibility to follow up with the model in the secondary photo. It is assumed the artist has that permission.
- Grandview Gallery uses a rail system to hang art work. So we can not nail into the wall. Traditional frames are not required but other framing techniques are welcomed as long as the art can hang. Framing costs are covered by the artist. Stretched canvas or prints on stretchers do not require frames. They only require a wire. No sawtooth hangs are acceptable as they are not stable for the rail system. Please use wires to hang artwork.
- Grandview Gallery holds the right to refuse submissions if any of the above is not followed.
