Union Pacific’s historic Big Boy No. 4014 steam locomotive is expected to roll through downtown Dwight on Friday, July 17, around 10:30 a.m., and we’re celebrating with a family-friendly watch party at Blackbird Common.
Join us at 9:30 a.m. for a cozy train-themed morning before Big Boy comes through town. Kids can play with train toys and enjoy coloring activities while families sip coffee, grab pastries, and take in a little hometown excitement.
When the train is expected to pass, families can watch from inside Blackbird through our front windows or step outside to the sidewalk for a closer view.
**The train will not stop in Dwight, so please plan to arrive and be settled before 10:30 a.m.!**
