This event is part of a collaborative speaker series presented by the Barrett Memorial Library, Fontana Public Library, and Lake Geneva Public Library, and will be hosted at Lodge Geneva National. No registration is required.The UW MIA Recovery and Identification Project partners with the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency to recover, identify, and repatriate the remains of MIA American Armed Services Personnel, helping fulfill our Nation’s promise to provide the fullest possible accounting of those who gave their lives in service to our country. This talk highlights our history, goals, and archaeological approaches to recovery operations in Europe.
Presenter Gregg Jamison is an Associate Professor of Anthropology at the Waukesha Campus of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He is an anthropological archaeologist who studies the origins of states and civilizations and ancient craft production. He also serves as the Lead Archaeologist for the UW MIA Recovery and Identification Project.
