"American Mayor" focuses on a 24-year old filmmaker/comedian running for mayor against seven other people to stop the city from knocking down his childhood home. Knowing nothing about running for mayor, he documented the 130-day campaign and showed how one person can make a difference in local politics. The documentary made the festival rounds in 2010, screening at The Festival de Cannes' Short Film Corner, Atlanta DocuFest, The Palm Springs ShortFest and others!
