“Alan Turing – the Man and His Legacy” by Neil SheldonWednesday February 11th at 7pm. Adults £5 – under 14s FREE
What a cracking talk we have in prospect for the OH Heritage Group February Guest Speaker Night. We all know of Alan Turing as the man who led the team in Hut 8, Bletchley Park that cracked the Enigma Code and played a major part in WW2 in the Allies winning the Battle of the Atlantic. An amazing achievement but it was one of many for this amazing man. We'll hear all about them, most notably he was one of the founders of modern computer science. He was prosecuted -- some would say persecuted -- for his homosexuality, and this may have led to his early death.

We have a very highly recommended presenter, Neil Sheldon, who has been teaching and lecturing to audiences aged from 9 to 90 for over fifty years.
