Urban League of Greater Hartford presents its 11th annual signature Black History event.
About this Event

Urban League of Greater Hartford is presenting its annual Black History Month Celebration on Thursday, February 6, 2025 from 6:00 – 8:30 pm. This year’s event will be at the Mark Twain House & Museum located at 351 Farmington Avenue, Hartford, CT 06105.

The 2025 theme is “A Legacy Revealed |Expressions of Hope" an in-person experience showcasing the achievements and contributions of African-American, Afro-Caribbean and Afro-Latino cultures in our area through an interactive exhibit, inspiring entertainment and an awards ceremony.

6:00 - 7:00 pm | INTERACTIVE EXHIBIT

Learn about the rich history, resources, services and activities offered by individuals and organizations within the Greater Hartford area.

7:00 - 8:30 pm | LEGACY HONORS SHOWCASE

Awards ceremony with entertaining and thought provoking historical and cultural presentations showcased through inspiring music, poetry and dance while we acknowledge the contributions of our featured Legacy Honors recipients.

The night will be a multi-sensory experience to remember as we inform, entertain and educate the community about Hartford’s history and culture!

- - Celebrate our history by sharing information through cultural materials, art, books, pictures, pamphlets, objects, etc. in a creative/interactive table display during our Interactive Exhibit from 6-7pm. Exhitibor (Free) / Vendor ($60 donation). Complete separate form to enter exhibit detail. Vendor payment can be made through Eventbrite.
