At 2:00 p.m., Dan Snyder, a longtime docent at the Cornwall Iron Furnace Museum and the Manheim Historical Society, will give a talk about “A 60-Year Journey of an Antique Collector.” For the majority of his life, Dan has gathered more than thirty distinct antiques, which will be on show at the event. He still enjoys archeology, and you may find him searching Elizabeth Furnace for artifacts from the Revolutionary War. Visit the museums to see ironwork stove plates, Stiegel-type glass, a variety of Manheim artifacts, and the offices and waiting areas of the 1881 rail station that are brimming with interesting train antiques. A must-see is the constantly growing Model Train Museum. Immerse yourself in charm and history for a minute. If the weather permits, take a trolley ride. The best part is that they are totally free.
