Deseret Experimental Opera presents "And you ghosts rise blue," an experimental pasticcio opera by Interdisciplinary Arts Collective. Join us in the Masonic Temple on June 23-25 for an evening of movement, sound, and light as we open a rift in the space-time continuum and call in voices past and future, real and unreal. The voices – sounding alongside a collaborative collective of dancers, musicians, poets, actors, and visual artists – form a ghostly chorus with whom we sing of the ephemeral, the infinite, and the im/possible.

- The house opens at 7pm for a Reading Room gallery installation with artwork created by the collective. The performance begins at 8pm with a 70-minute runtime.

- Sensory Information: This performance makes use of strobe lights, long periods of blackout, and some moments of intense sound. The libretto is performed in English, Farsi, French, Italian, and Spanish, with supertitles projected in English.

About Interdisciplinary Arts Collective: Interdisciplinary Arts Collective is a Salt Lake City-based performing arts group made up of musicians, dancers, poets, actors, artists, and anti-artists. About Deseret Experimental Opera: Deseret Experimental Opera Company (DEXO), founded in 2013 by Logan Hone, Jesse Quebbeman-Turley, and Luke Swenson, has produced 11 premier works: traditionally staged operas, short operas in strange venues, operas on moving bicycles, an installed opera and an improvised opera, and a rocking opera of rocks. DEXO strongly believes in forging a path for opera into the 21st century through egalitarian collaboration of an artistic collective from across disciplines through the medium of opera.
