Anciela x Sacred Threads: Screening, Exhibition, Conversation & Music

As part of the London Fashion Week Fashion Britain programme. Join us for a screening of Sacred Threads, followed by an intimate conversation between Brazilian filmmaker Marie Lanna and Anciela's Creative Director, Jennifer Droguett, moderated by MinuteShorts. The evening closes with a Latin-infused DJ set.
The event also features an exhibition exploring the costumes and characters of the film, a closer look at the craft and intention behind each piece.
Together, Marie and Jennifer will explore sustainability, cultural identity, and fashion as a carrier of meaning, and what happens when creative practices converge to drive change.
Conceived as an open exchange, the evening invites audience participation and a slower, more intentional engagement with fashion and culture.

About the speakers:
is a filmmaker, designer and creative director working across film, fashion and visual culture. Fascinated by people and human behaviour, her work explores femininity and identity, often using the body and movement as a means of expression within distinctly visual narratives.
As a production designer, Marie has created campaigns for brands including Nike, Converse, Patek Philippe and Bella Freud, as well as music videos for artists such as Florence + the Machine and Alt-J. Her work has been recognised at the British Arrows and Cannes Lions.
is a Colombian-Chilean interdisciplinary fashion designer and creative director with a decade of experience in luxury fashion, specialising in sustainable, circular, and regenerative design and culture.
In 2019, she founded her circular label Anciela as a tribute to her cultural heritage. The brand has since shown at London Fashion Week 2024, Berlin Fashion Week, Yerevan Fashion Week x Fashion Scout, and the Hong Kong Fashion Summit 2025, representing the UK, and has been featured in Vogue, ELLE, Harper's Bazaar, L'Officiel, and Forbes, as well as at Billie Eilish's Overheated event. Jennifer was named one of the 2026 Visa Young Creator x Global Fashion Agenda award winners.

Known for her work as a DJ, trombonist, interdisciplinary artist, and curator, AUKA’s club sound oscillates between percussive intensity and euphoric release, weaving a sonic thread through Africa, Latin America, and the beating heart of the diaspora. AUKA has toured globally, with DJ sets in Morocco, Chile, and UAE, as well as at some of London’s most exciting clubs, including Carpet Shop, Night Tales Loft, Colour Factory, Corsica Studios, Palais and Sweeties at The Standard Hotel. Her radio credits are just as extensive, as a former resident at Worldwide FM and Soho Radio, with guest slots on Foundation FM, Jazz FM, NTS Radio, Balamii, and more.
