About this Event
Event Vision
The event was inspired by a spontaneous creative vision centered around:
- Celebrating Black boat captains
- Bringing visibility to Black-owned boating businesses
- Creating cultural community engagement around Juneteenth
- Producing future marketing content for captains and partners
- Establishing a scalable annual waterfront cultural activation
The activation is designed to highlight an often-overlooked sector of Black entrepreneurship:
