About this Event

This talk will explore highlights of the Library’s impressive holdings of medical texts, from a medieval pharmacopeia manuscript through to magnificent early modern works by Andreas Vesalius (recently acquired with donor support) and Charles Estienne. A highlight will be the richly illustrated first European work on Chinese medicine, published in 1686 and recently acquired with donor support.
