Featuring live performances by eminent musicians from India, the production includes soulful solo performances on the Mardal, Flute, and Sitar, along with captivating presentations of Odissi and Manipuri dance traditions. Blending powerful rhythms, expressive storytelling, and meditative beauty, Anantam offers audiences a unique artistic experience that transcends language and culture.
About the Artists
Dr. Sangeeta Gosain – Vocals
Dr. Sangeeta Gosain is a renowned vocalist, scholar, playback singer, and former Associate Professor at Utkal University of Culture. A Top-grade artist of All India Radio and Doordarshan, she holds doctorates in both Music and English Literature and has dedicated over 55 years to Indian classical and devotional music. Her soulful voice has earned admiration from audiences worldwide.
Guru Swapneswar Chakraborty – Sitar
Born into a distinguished musical family, Guru Swapneswar Chakraborty trained under eminent maestros, including Dr. Pradeep Chakraborty. A faculty member at GKCM Odissi Research Center and iGurukul Odissi, he is celebrated for his expressive sitar performances and acclaimed music compositions for dance productions and festivals.
Guru Budhanath Swain – Mardala
Guru Budhanath Swain is an accomplished Mardala artist and recipient of the prestigious “Talamani” award. Trained at Utkal University, he has performed internationally with leading gurus and served as a teacher and accompanist at Nrityagram Dance Village. His powerful rhythmic artistry has enriched numerous classical dance productions.
Dilip Acharya – Vocals & Harmonium
Dilip Acharya is an accomplished vocalist, harmonium player, composer, and music director trained in Odissi and Hindustani classical music. An approved artist of All India Radio, he has performed across India, the United States, and Africa, and is recognized for his versatility across devotional, folk, Sufi, and classical traditions.
Rudra Prasad Parida – Flute
Rudra Prasad Parida is an award-winning Hindustani classical flautist and B-High grade artist of All India Radio and Doordarshan. Trained under distinguished gurus, he has received numerous national honors and is known for his soulful melodies and technical brilliance. Anantam marks his U.S. debut performance.
Guru Sanjib Bhattacharya – Manipuri Dance
Guru Sanjib Bhattacharya is an internationally acclaimed Manipuri dancer, choreographer, and educator honored with the President’s Awards of India. Trained under legendary gurus, he has performed and taught worldwide, collaborating with institutions including UCLA and the Cleveland Museum of Art. He is also the founder of Movements in Motion, California.
Guru Gayatri Joshi – Odissi Dance
Guru Gayatri Joshi is an internationally acclaimed Odissi dancer, choreographer, educator, and co-founder of iGurukul Foundation. With over three decades of dedication to Odissi, she has created more than 50 original choreographic works and developed a transformative curriculum blending traditional artistry with contemporary innovation. She is also a visiting professor at UC Santa Cruz and recipient of the 2025 Nritya Srujanika Award.
