Behind the Frame is a series in which photographers talk openly about their process: how they see, why they shoot, and the decisions that go into making an image. It's a chance for the audience to get inside the head of a photographer, the camera, the lens, the instinct, the edit, the intention.

Two photographers, 15 minutes each, followed by Q&A. A mix of film shooters, digital shooters, and people who just love images, some beginners, some experienced. The goal is to share how you think, not just what you shot.

KANAN GOLE Imagemaker + Documentarian

An imagemaker whose work sits everywhere between documentary and dream. Through years living across differenet countries and cultures, her film camera became a way to understand the world and her place within it. Kanan works with nonprofits and as an event photographer.

DAQUAN ROBINSON Imagemaker

Your favority photographer's favorite photographer. Originally from Las Vegas, but now residing in Seattle with over 16+ years of experience. His approach to photography is what most would consider "niche-less" or "out of the box", with a strong intentionality of storytelling throug every frame.

Seattle Film Club is all about building real community through photography. They bring people together—film shooters and digital folks alike—to explore the city, share knowledge, and spark genuine connections. Whether you’re brand new to photography or a seasoned pro, their events are built for meeting new people, learning something different, and seeing Seattle with fresh eyes. It’s about making space for creativity, conversation, and a sense of belonging.
