About this Event

Swinley Forest is part of the Windsor Estate and whilst much of it is commercial forestry, it includes open rides and heathland areas which support a wide range of flora and fauna.

We will explore the rides and open areas looking for summer butterflies including heathland specialists like the Silver-studded Blue.

Accessibility & risks: A fairly long walk on mainly firm open rides, though there may be softer, muddy areas after rain. Watch out for trip hazards & rabbit holes.. Please check for ticks after the walk and let the leader know if you have picked up any ticks.

Please check here the evening before the walk to make sure it is going ahead as planned. This page will be updated regularly.

Park in the Car Park at the Lookout (Fee required) and meet beside the Lookout doors.
