About this Event
Warburg is one of BBOWT’s premier Nature Reserves, a remote and magnificent wildlife gem nestling in a quiet valley in the Chiltern Hills. It supports extensive broadleaved woodland with open rides and glades, rich in exciting animals and plants, including a particularly fine range of orchids.
We will explore the woodland and grassy rides, looking for the summer butterflies and other wildlife. We may find species like the Purple Hairstreak, as well as some of our day-flying moths.
Accessibility & risks: mostly wide grassy paths but fairly steep in places; can be muddy; benches. Toilets on site. Please check for ticks after the walk and let the leader know if you have picked up any ticks. A mobility vehicle is sometimes available - please contact BBOWT directly: 01865 788311.
Please check here the evening before the walk to make sure it is going ahead as planned. This page will be updated regularly.
Meet at the reserve car park.
