A night where history defies silence: two original operas illuminating the brilliance, rebellion, and humanity of Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz and the women who shaped their own destinies.

The evening also features Frau Haydn in Trouble, a chamber opera by Daniel Daroca, produced by The Opera Atelier. This work explores, with wit and emotional nuance, the inner worlds, creative tensions, and personal dilemmas of its protagonists. Together, these two operas form a compelling double bill that reflects The Opera Atelier’s commitment to contemporary creation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the exploration of narratives that illuminate the human experience.
